More than 80 firefighters responded to a house fire Tuesday morning in the Gaithersburg area, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer.
The two-alarm fire happened around 4 a.m. on Sabbath Court, near Goshen Road. There were no injuries. The two occupants managed to get out safely. Three cats are missing, according to Piringer.
Fire investigators believe the fire started outside of the house in the back patio area. Piringer said damages are estimated between $600,000 and $700,000.

Firefighters will return to the neighborhood Tuesday around 4:30 p.m. as part of the county’s safety initiative program. They will provide neighbors with fire safety information and answer questions.
