According to a Wallet Hub study released Wednesday, diversity in Maryland ranks ahead of 40 other states in the U.S.
California (#1), Texas (#2), Hawaii (#3), New Jersey (#4), Florida (#5), New Mexico (#6), Nevada (#7) and New York (#8) ranked ahead of Maryland which is ranked 9th.
To determine which states had more diversity than others, Wallet Hub compared the 50 states across six key categories. The study looked at socio-economic, cultural, economic, household, religious, and political diversity.
Maryland ranked in the top five for three specific categories. Fourth in educational-attainment diversity, fifth in racial & ethnic diversity, and fifth in worker-class diversity (aged 16 and older).
Racial diversity has been in the spotlight recently, but the U.S. has #diversity in so many areas: culture, religion, education and more. See the most diverse states here: https://t.co/P0oAtOiHBW pic.twitter.com/mhHpykaJzK
