Montgomery County COVID-19 Statistics
The Maryland Department of Health reports 4,300 cases of COVID-19 in Montgomery County as of Thursday morning, which is an increase of 148 cases from 4,152 reported Wednesday.
The health department reports that 229 county residents have died from COVID-19.. This is an increase of 11 deaths since Wednesday. The number of probable deaths is 26.
There are 1,099 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in residents and staff of senior living facilities and 149 deaths in the county.
Maryland COVID-19 Statistics
As of Thursday morning, there were 21,742 confirmed cases throughout the state. That is an increase of 893 in the last 24 hours.
The total number of deaths in Maryland is 1,047, which is an increase of 62 since Wednesday, according to the Department of Health.
In Maryland, 4,559 people have been hospitalized. This is an increase of 157.
Throughout the state, 1,771 hospital beds are being used for COVID-19 patients. Of that total, 1,121 beds are for acute care and 590 are in an intensive care unit.
A total of 7,821 cases and 431 deaths involve the state’s African American community.
There have been 4,783 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 516 deaths in nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout the state. This number includes residents and staff.
