Montgomery COVID-19 Cases Pass 7,100, Maryland Cases Top 34,000

Montgomery County COVID-19 Statistics

Tuesday morning the Maryland Department of Health reported 7,130 cases of COVID-19 in Montgomery County, which is an increase of 221 cases from the 6,909 reported Monday.

According to the health department, 373 county residents have died from COVID-19 in Montgomery County. This is an increase of twenty deaths since Monday. The number of probable deaths is 34.

Maryland COVID-19 Statistics

As of Tuesday morning, there were 34,061 confirmed cases throughout the state. That is an increase of 688 in the last 24 hours. There were 1,643 deaths, an increase of 70.

In Maryland, 6,287 people have been hospitalized since the outbreak of COVID-19.

On Tuesday, 1,563 Marylanders are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, which is 19 more than Monday. Of the currently hospitalized patients, 590 are in intensive care. This is 5 more patients in ICU beds than Monday.

A total of 11,110 cases and 656 deaths involve the state’s African American community. That is 25 additional deaths since Monday.

There have been 6,218 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 803 deaths in nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout the state. This number includes 4,323 cases and 792 deaths in residents.
