A Silver Spring woman is $136,056 richer after picking up her winnings at the Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore recently.
She won the jackpot playing the Fast Play Casino Royale Slots game. She bought her $10 ticket at Wheaton Exxon on Georgia Avenue.
The 27-year old construction worker told lottery officials she tried checking her ticket on the self-check scanner, but the screen kept coming up blank. That’s when she summoned the store manager who told her that she won a big prize and had to take her ticket to Lottery headquarters to claim.
And what of her winnings? She told lottery officials she plans to buy a new house to share with her family.
Wheaton Exxon located at 11310 Georgia Ave in Silver Spring will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
