It’s Monday, Jan. 15, and today is Martin Luther King Jr Day. It looks like a cold day with a chance of snow, as we honor the Civil Rights leader. Here are five things to know in Montgomery County.

2. Fighting Childhood Hunger: Manna Food and the city of Gaithersburg host a Childhood Hunger Advocacy Roundtable of county leaders and parents. The roundtable takes place today at the Robertson Park Youth Center in Gaithersburg.
3. MLK Day of Service 2024: Each year, the Montgomery County Volunteer Center and organizations host service projects. While many are full, there are still opportunities to give back to the community through a service project. Click here for more information and to register for MLK Day of Service.
