Poor road conditions forced the county to cancel trash collection for the remainder of Tuesday. The county had originally announced early Tuesday collection service would take place but be delayed as crews dealt with snowy and icy streets.
👇🧵♻️Today's recycling & refuse collection is snowed out! If Monday's your day, keep those bins on the curb – we're on a snow-slide schedule this week!
📅 Tuesday pickups? Hold on till Wednesday! We're sliding all the way to Jan. 20 due to the MLK holiday. Thx for your patience! https://t.co/fEG5e0Xhj6— Montgomery County MD (@MontgomeryCoMD) January 16, 2024
County-provided service did not take place Monday for the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday causing collections this week to slip by a day.
The county asks residents who normally receive collection service on Mondays to please leave containers at the curb for collection this week.
Residents that normally receive County-provided recycling and trash collection service on Tuesday through Friday will have their materials collected the next day.
