1. Trash and Recycling Schedule: County-provided trash and recycling collections will operate on a slide schedule this week. Collections normally scheduled for Friday will be collected Monday. Collections for the rest of the week will take place one day later. The Transfer Station in Derwood is open.
2. Mobile Market: The Universities at Shady Grove’s Mobile Market free food distribution is back from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. Stop by Lot 5 (visitor’s parking lot), bring your grocery bags, and pick up some food. The market welcomes all volunteers, sign up here if interested in helping.
3. Council President Briefing: Council President Andrew Friedson’s weekly media briefing is scheduled for today at 11:30 a.m. Friedson is expected to discuss the Council’s review and deliberations on the CE’s proposed capital budget and $5.8 billion Capital Improvements Program for fiscal years 2025-2030. He will also discuss the impact that Gov. Moore’s $150 million funding restoration for transportation has on Montgomery County. Watch today’s briefing on the Council’s Facebook page here.
4. Municipal Monday: The Gaithersburg Mayor and Council meet at 7:30 p.m. for a work session on the 2023 election process at 7:30 p.m.. The agenda and agenda packet are available online. The Rockville Mayor and Council meet at 7 p.m. The meeting agenda is available online.
5. Income Tax Assistance (ICYM): The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is offering free tax help for households earning less than $64,000.

And One More Thing: The county police arrested a pharmacy delivery man from Bethesda last week and charged him for the alleged sexual assault of an elderly woman. Police are concerned there may be additional victims.
