County residents may register for most spring programs and activities starting on Monday, Feb. 12 at 6:30 a.m.
Registration for a few programs—Bone Builders, Day Trippers, and Senior Outdoor Adventures in Recreation (SOAR)—begin at 9 a.m. Bone builders is a free, volunteer-led, exercise program designed for adults 55 years-old and up. One hour classes held twice per week are designed to increase bone density. Bone Builders has a strict attendance policy. Participants must consistently attend twice per week to maintain their place in the class. Participants must be County residents and may register for only one Bone Builders class at a time. Day Trippers and SOAR are both one-day motor-coach excursions that depart and return to Olney Manor Recreation Park.
Non-county residents may register for programs and activities starting on Wednesday, Feb. 14.
Spring Programs and Activities
A wide variety of classes and programs designed to help participants stay active and have fun are available. Offerings include aquatics, fitness, sports, visual and performing arts, therapeutic recreation, adult 55+ programming and more.
A digital version of the spring guide of programs and activities will be available on Friday, Feb. 2. The guide lists all recreation classes, program, and activities offered during the spring season.
