Tickets to hear Billy Collins share his poetry sold out in three minutes.
The former U.S. Poet Laureate and author of 12 poetry collections kicked off the 15th year of the Gaithersburg Book Festival, which will be held May 18 at Bohrer Park.
Friday night he read some of his poems and signed books before a very appreciative audience at the Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg.
His advice to poets, “Find your own voice that doesn’t sound like anyone else’s voice.”
