2. Women’s History Month: Today, Montgomery Park’s History Hour series for adult audiences continues with a presentation by Dr. Iyelli Ichile, who is the Director of the African American Studies Institute at Prince George’s Community College. Dr. Ichile will discuss women’s role in the struggle against American slavery. Tickets are $5 and are available onsite. This program will occur at the Josiah Henson Museum and Park Visitor Center at 11410 Old Georgetown Road in North Bethesda. Learn more and purchase tickets here.
3. Financial Workshop: Virtual session from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. to gain knowledge and tools to achieve financial prosperity.

4. Pedestrian Safety: The MCDOT Pedestrian Safety Team will be at Ellsworth Place in downtown Silver Spring from 4 to 8 p.m. to promote pedestrian, driving, and bike safety to Montgomery County residents. Visit the MCDOT table at the Level 2 mall entrance near Ben and Jerry’s and Kung Fu Tea for free giveaways and learn more about the safety programs.
5. ICYMI: A Montgomery County delegation testified in Annapolis that it is not enough to punish drug dealers for their sales. They asked legislators to also penalize them for the deaths they cause.
