Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in a reported attempted abduction of a 10-year-old girl in Montgomery Village.
According to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD), at about 3 p.m. Sunday, a 10-year-old girl was sitting outside an apartment building in the 18300 Block of Lost Knife Road. The girl told police an unknown male grabbed her arm and told her to come with him, police stated, and she believes the suspect ran when he saw police cars in the neighborhood.
Detectives are actively investigating the case and officers have increased patrols in the area, according to a release from police Monday afternoon.
Police described the suspect as “an unknown race male, late teens to 20-years-old, 5-feet, 10-inches tall, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a black jacket over it, black cargo pants, sneakers and a ski mask covering his mouth.”
