Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a kitchen fire Sunday at Tasty 68 restaurant in Damascus, which left the restaurant closed for renovations and several businesses near it unable to reoccupy the building.
Personnel were dispatched to Tasty 68, located at 26131 Ridge Road, around 12:30 p.m. and distinguished the fire. The restaurant was left with significant water damage, MCFRS spokesperson David Pazos said on X.

No one was injured in the fire, Pazos added. Businesses in the center near Tasty 68, including Hair Razors beauty salon and a State Farm office, were not immediately available for comment.
Tasty 68 noted its closure on its website and apologized to customers for the inconvenience. The restaurant offers Chinese cuisine for take-out, dine-in and delivery.
