Jones said Kias and Hyundais are most-often stolen. Over the weekend of May 10-12, police and representatives from Kia and Hyundai will partner to host a free community event for those who have these cars.

At the event next month, members of the public with Kias and Hyundais will be able to bring them to public safety headquarters at 100 Edison Park Drive in Gaithersburg to get software updates and other anti-theft tools.
