The USGS provided an interactive map showing a blanket of reports from Maryland to northern Vermont.
“I have just spoken with our team @BaltimoreOEM and can confirm that our city is safe and sound,” Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott wrote on X.
Reports in Maryland came as far as Hollywood, almost 188 miles southwest of the epicenter. Montgomery County reports include Gaithersburg, Germantown, Rockville and Silver Spring, though the USGS encourages anyone who felt even the slightest shake to report so.
