The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center has reopened for customers with reservations only. The center’s first phase of reopening only includes services such as lap swimming, the fitness room and water walking.
Reservations for open services are required for Rockville residents and swim center members and can be made with an online form on the RockvilleMD website. Residents and members can only make up to three reservation requests at a time and each reservation is an hour long. More information on open services and changes to the center overall can be found on RockvilleMD.gov.
When checking-in for a pool reservation, customers will be given a placard with their assigned lap lane and they will need to place it in the marker with the corresponding lane number. Wearing a face mask is required by all visitors when not in the pool. It is recommended that visitors wash hands frequently and take a shower before getting in the pool. Also, hand sanitizer and sanitation wipes are all over the facility to help customers practice self-hygiene, according to Adam Goldstein, the center’s superintendent. Goldstein goes through all the changes in this video from Rockville 11.
The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center is open Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The center is located at 355 Martins Lane.
