MCM Adopts Canada Goose as Office Mascot

To many Montgomery County residents, the Canada Goose (the correct term – NOT Canadian Goose) seems more like an invasive species than beloved wildlife. But like it or not, they are here to stay.

MCM celebrates their presence in our otherwise low key office park in Rockville. To find out how to better cohabitate in our environs, we talked with an expert from Montgomery Parks.

The Canada Goose was imported here from Western Maryland in the early twentieth century. There are two kinds of Canada Geese – those that migrate and those that remain homebodies throughout the year.  They may not be the perfect pet but this time of year, they are fun to watch…but watch where you step!
