Organizers of “Pride in the Plaza,” Montgomery County’s annual festival celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community, are running a t-shirt design contest ahead of the event.
The artist behind the chosen design will receive a $1,000 VISA gift card, the county said.
“This is a chance to use your artistic skills to help promote a great event in a creative way,” said County Executive Marc Elrich.
The designers of the first 20 submissions will each receive $25 gift cards. Entries are due by May 15 and a winner will be chosen by June 1.
The festival is scheduled for June 30 from 12 to 8 p.m. at Downtown Silver Spring’s Veterans Plaza (1 Veterans Place).
