Emergency repairs on the deep end of the main pool and diving well at North Bethesda’s Kennedy Shriver Aquatic Center will begin Sunday, May 5.
The construction will not shut down the entire facility.

The center already plans to close for renovations starting June 28.
Kennedy Shriver opened in 1989 as the Montgomery Aquatic Center. It was dedicated to Eunice Kennedy Shriver, creator of the Special Olympics, and Sargent Shriver on October 23, 2011.
