Children’s Literature Legacy Award-winning illustrator James Ransome will present his latest book on Saturday, May 18, at the Gaithersburg Book Festival (GBF), where he joins 130 other presenters, including his wife, Lesa Cline-Ransome.
Ransome’s remarkable talent has garnered him numerous accolades, including the prestigious Coretta Scott King Awards, a Boston Globe-Horn Book Honor, ALA Notables, a Jane Addams Award, and NAACP Image Awards.
Ransome will present “Fighting with Love: The Legacy of John Lewis” with author Lesa Cline-Ransome.

Lesa Cline-Ransome presents “Loud And Proud: The Life of Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm” at 1:15 p.m. in the Jim Henson Pavilion and will sign books at 2:15 p.m.
