The Montgomery County Police Department and their partner public safety agencies are hosting the second annual Public Safety Appreciation Day. The event will take place on Sunday, May 19 at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg.
From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine, attendees can expect free activities, such as face painting, a magician, inflatables, music, pony rides, and performances on the community stage. The public safety agencies will have displays, showcasing everything from K9 techniques to a motorcycle skills course.
Food will be available for purchase from a lineup of participating food trucks.
Parking for the event is free. More information can be found online. County Ride On will provide free shuttle service beginning at 10:30 a.m. and running every 30 minutes from the Wheaton Mall and the Germantown Transit bus stops.

Montgomery County Police Department, Maryland State Police, Rockville City Police, Gaithersburg City Police, Chevy Chase Village Police, Takoma Park Police, Montgomery County Park Police, the Sheriff’s Department, and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services host the event.
