Ivvone Zhou from Bethesda went toe to toe with three-time champ Gregg Meller on Monday night’s Jeopardy! episode.
Zhou came in second, losing by one dollar to Meller – $14,001 to $14,000.
Zhou graduated from Montgomery Blair High School’s science, math and computer science magnet program in 2020. She currently is studying biostatistics and quantitative biology at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.
Both Zhou and Meller answered Final Jeopardy correctly guessing “Twelve Angry Men” to the clue “Of the 14 roles in a production of this play that opened on Broadway on Oct. 28, 2004, none were played by females.”
Zhou took home $3000 for second place.
