16-Year-Old Charged as Adult in Multiple Bethesda Armed Robberies

Police said a 16-year-old has been arrested and charged as an adult in multiple armed robberies that occurred just this month in Bethesda.

Nytrell Tyshawn Parrish, who has no known address, is currently being held without bond, according to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) on Monday. He was arrested Saturday.

Parrish is charged with four counts of armed robbery, four counts of firearm used in a violent crime, and related charges, according to police.

He is accused in four armed robberies, including robberies of the same store twice in one day. On Sunday, May 12, Parrish allegedly went into Tobacco Hub on Old Georgetown Road, asked to see vape products, displayed a handgun and demanded the employee hand over items. He reportedly came back to the store a little more than an hour later, displayed the handgun and demanded cash, according to police. He left with money and items. Detectives got surveillance video from both armed robberies, police said.

The following day on Monday, May 13, officers responded to an armed robbery at Geste Wine & Food on Edgemoor Lane, according to police. Police said a male went into the store and reportedly asked about vape products, displayed a handgun, demanded cash from the register and left with money. According to police, surveillance video showed that the suspect was the same one from the Tobacco Hut robbery. Then the next day on Tuesday, May 14, he allegedly came back to Geste Wine & Food for a second time, showed a handgun and stole cash again.

Detectives were able to identify Parrish and connected him to each of the armed robberies, police stated.
