The reported threat at Walt Whitman High School has been determined to be not valid. The school is no longer in lockdown. Staff and students have returned to the building, according to Montgomery County Police.

Students and staff at Walt Whitman High School have been evacuated following a reported threat before 11 a.m. Friday.
Montgomery County police officers are at the school and are investigating the validity of the threat.
MCPD is still on scene at Walt Whitman High School. MCPS has evacuated staff and students.
Officers continue to investigate the validity of the reported threat.
