Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is investigating a fatal single-car collision that occurred Sunday night at Shady Grove Road in Redland.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services responded the Aug. 4 collision on Shady Grove Road at the intersection of Briardale Drive at approximately 9:53 p.m., according to an MCPD news release.
The driver of a gray 1999 Acura TL lost control and hit a tree, causing the car to flip sideways and trapping the driver.
Police identified the female driver as the sole occupant and pronounced her dead at the scene.
County Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is still investigating the collision.
