Devon Miller, 30, was charged with the death of his 37-year-old sister, Shanon Marie Barnett of Bethesda. Miller lives in Indianapolis.
Police received a call at 10:30 p.m. concerning a suspicious situation. At 10:50 p.m., police received a second call for a domestic-related situation at the same location on Westlake Drive in Bethesda.
Barnett was already dead when police arrived.
Miller currently is being held without bond.

Montgomery County Police officers are investigating a domestic related incident Monday in which an adult female died.
Police and fire rescue personnel responded to the 10500 block of Westlake Drive in Bethesda following a report of a domestic related incident. When they arrived, they found a woman who was dead at the scene.
An adult male was taken into custody.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of the woman’s death.
This is an active investigation, and police officers will provide more information, including the name of the woman, following notification of relatives.
MCPD is conducting a death investigation in the 10500 block of Westlake Drive.
An adult male is in custody.
The scene is secure and there is no additional threat to the public at this time.
