3. Poolesville Day: The Town of Poolesville will host its 32nd annual Poolesville Day on Saturday, Sept. 21. Festival highlights include the 5K charity run/walk, parade, arts and craft, food, live music, and amusement rides. The festival takes place on Whalen Commons located at 19701 Fisher Avenue.
4. Garden Discovery Day: Montgomery County Master Gardeners host the Garden Discovery Day on Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. The event offers a full day of educational activities designed to inspire and engage youth from kindergarten through high school in the wonders of nature, gardening, and local food.
5. Peace Day at the Park: From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 1800 Piccard Dr., the Peace Day will feature free entertainment, games, activities, a labyrinth, and a hope flame dedication. The annual Peace Day honors the late teen poet Mattie J.T Stepanek’s birthday and legacy.
