Detectives Investigate Gas Station Burglary in Germantown

Montgomery County Department of Police (MCP) detectives are investigating a commercial burglary from Sept. 23 in Germantown.

According to a press release, officers responded at approximately 4:59 a.m. to a burglary at the Shell Gas Station on the 21000 block of Frederick Road.

An investigation revealed suspects forced entry into the gas station by backing a 16-passenger van through a window. Then, the suspects got out of the van, grabbed an ATM, put it inside the van and left the scene.

Through reviewing surveillance footage of the burglary, detectives described the suspects as two males of unknown race wearing dark clothes and the vehicle as a white or light-colored 16-passenger van with a damaged back. It is unknown whether the van was stolen, according to the press release.

Detectives asked for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects.
