1. Libraries Network Outage: A system-wide network outage damaged server cables at Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) Tuesday. The branches are open for checkouts but Wifi, public computers, printing, scanning and copiers are unavailable.

2. Coffee with a Cop: From 8-10 a.m., Montgomery County Police will be at Starbucks at 18240 Flower Hill Way in Gaithersburg for National Coffee with a Cop Day. Residents can join police for coffee and conversation.

3. Takoma Park City Council: The Takoma Park City Council will not meet today as Rosh Hashanah begins at sunset.

5. ICYMI: A new ignition interlock law went into effect Tuesday to close a loophole in Noah’s Law, which is named after a Montgomery County police officer who was struck and killed by a drunk driver in 2015.
