National Drug Control Policy Director Addresses Students at Kennedy High School

The Director of National Drug Control Policy addressed students during an assembly and toured a wellness center at John F. Kennedy High School in Wheaton. Dr. Rahul Gupta, who attended Kennedy High School, stressed the dangers of opioids like fentanyl and demonstrated how to use naloxone which is the medicine that counteracts an opioid overdose.

Maryland Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller also attended and spoke to students during Wednesday’s school assembly.
