The Latest COVID-19 Numbers for Maryland, Montgomery

The Maryland Department of Health reported 72 new COVID-19 cases in Montgomery County Wednesday morning. This brings the cumulative case count to 22,584 since the start of the pandemic.

The county had a rolling seven-day average of 2.59% for positive COVID-19 tests, which is a lower rate than 12 of Maryland’s 24 jurisdictions.

Montgomery County has led the state in coronavirus-related fatalities, adding one more Wednesday for a pandemic total of 809. Prince George’s County, however, has recorded over 6,900 more coronavirus cases in total since March.

The state recorded 414 new infections Wednesday, bringing its total to 124,725. Three new deaths were reported Wednesday morning, making the pandemic death toll 3,805.

Wednesday the state reported a rolling seven-day average of 2.68% for positive COVID-19 tests.
