Road to Independence Resource Fair Set for Nov. 10 in Rockville

The Transition Work Group (TWG) will host the Road to Independence Resource Fair for youth and adults with disabilities on Sunday, Nov. 10, from 1 to 4 p.m. at College Living Experience, located at 401 N Washington Street in Rockville. The event is free, and parking is available. It is also near the Rockville Metro station.

The fair offers resources for teens and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism, as well as their families. Attendees can learn about employment opportunities, education and mental health resources, social programs, and available benefits and services.

More than 50 representatives from government agencies and service providers will be available to speak with attendees. The TWG, which produces the event annually, includes adult service providers, government and school staff, and family members. The group’s goal is to help young people with disabilities transition from school to fulfilling lives in the community.
