‘HalloWheaton’ Celebration to Include Bar Hop and Family Friendly Activities

The Halloween spirit will come to Wheaton on Oct. 26 and 27 with “HalloWheaton” weekend. According to the press release, the celebration will begin on Saturday with the Halloween Eye Spy Train running through Wheaton Regional Park. The train will operate on Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased in advance here. The Wheaton Library will then screen “Monsters Inc.” for free at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

For adults, there will be a free bar hop from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. You can register here to receive the bar hop goodie bag, which includes a mug, shot glass, and coaster. You can pick up your bag at Marian Fryer Town Plaza on the day of the bar hop.

On Sunday, the focus shifts back to families with the fourth annual “HalloWheaton” Family Festival. The festival will be held from noon to 4 p.m. at the Marian Fryer Town Plaza. Events will include smores, pumpkin painting, face painting, and costume contests. Adult activities will include a fire pit, beer garden, and yard games.

The final event will be BOOtanica at Brookside Gardens. Activities will include trick-or-treating, arts-and-crafts, and hands-on botanical learning. The event will be held on Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and you can purchase tickets online here for $15.
