Rockville Man Charged With Attempted 2nd Degree Murder

Rockville City Police officers have charged Muhammad Ibrahim Adam, 28, of Rockville with attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault in connection with two stabbings Oct. 13 that occurred near the Twinbrook Metro.

The two victims were treated for non-life-threatening wounds, according to police.

The stabbings, which took place in the 1500 block of Rockville Pike, were investigated by Rockville and Metro Transit Police.

In the first stabbing, an adult male was wounded shortly before 5:30 p.m. A few minutes later, another adult male was stabbed in the back, according to police.

Adam also has been charged with reckless endangerment. A bond hearing is set for Thursday afternoon.
