Button Farm Celebration: Button Farm Living History Center celebrates Maryland Emancipation Day on Saturday, Oct. 26, from noon to 3 p.m. The program includes speakers, farm tours, music, and farm animals. 4. Last Day for Wheaton Carousel: Sunday is your last chance to ride the wooden carousel at Wheaton Regional Park before it’s refurbished and moved to Ovid Hazen Wells Recreational Park. A new carousel will arrive at Wheaton in spring 2025. The park is located at 2000 Shorefield Drive in Wheaton. Learn more here.

5. Early Voting: Early voting is underway in Maryland. There are 14 early voting centers in Montgomery County, and the last day to vote early is Thursday, Oct. 31. MCM spoke with voters in Silver Spring about the election.
