Gov. Larry Hogan tweeted Friday morning about the news that President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have both tested positive for coronavirus.
“Yumi and I are wishing President Trump and the First Lady a speedy recovery. Our thoughts and our prayers are with them both,” Hogan tweeted.

President Trump announced on Twitter early Friday he contracted the virus and that he and the first lady are beginning their recovery. Devin O’Malley, the spokesperson for Vice President Mike Pence, tweeted that the vice president and Second Lady Karen Pence have both tested negative for coronavirus Friday.
U.S. Rep David Trone (D-Md. 6th) also tweeted that he hopes the president and first lady have a speedy recovery.
“It takes all of us to stop the spread of #COVID19. Please remember to wear a mask, social distance, and get tested if you have symptoms,” Trone tweeted.
