Takoma Park Mayor Talisha Searcy is unopposed in her bid for reelection. She was first elected in 2022.
The Nov. 5 election includes seats for council in all six wards.

She worked for the city’s Ceasefire Resolution. Schlegel is a high school teacher and supports affordable housing and climate control.
In Ward 4, the two candidates are Kurt Gilbert and Tony Kyere. Gilbert is a 50-year resident and served 27 years on the city’s police force. Kyere is a 34-year resident and wants to work for a better Maple Avenue.
In Ward 5, incumbent Cara Honzak faces no opposition.
Incumbent Jason Small is running against Ambroise Agosse and Amy Wesolek. Small is working for affordable housing and safe streets. Agosse supports entrepreneurship and the health of the local ecosystem. Wesolek hopes to improve public safety and services for Ward 6.
