The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will extend service hours for the Great Seneca Ride On extRa Lime route beginning Nov. 17. The new schedule allows buses to operate until 10:10 p.m. daily, improving access to work, school, and evening activities around the Great Seneca area.
The Lime route will now run weekdays from 5:15 a.m. to 10:10 p.m. from Traville Transit Center. Service from Shady Grove Station will operate from 5:05 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday service will start at 6:15 a.m., with both locations offering service until 10:10 p.m.
The Great Seneca Transit Network (GSTN) launched Sept. 8 with two express Ride On extRa routes: Pink and Lime. These routes provide faster, more frequent east-west connections between Shady Grove Metro and Traville Gateway Transit Center, near the Universities at Shady Grove.
The Lime route connects Shady Grove Metro to RIO, Crown Farm, and the Life Sciences Center, using I-370 for express service. The Pink route links Shady Grove Metro and the Life Sciences Center via Medical Center Drive.
The updated schedule is available on the MCDOT website. Riders are encouraged to take advantage of the extended evening hours.
