Upcoming County Fair Connects Residents to Critical Resources

Montgomery County officials are urging residents to attend the United in Service and Support Community Resource Fair on Sunday, Dec. 8, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Executive Office Building cafeteria in Rockville.

The free event will offer information on health and wellness, job skills, reproductive rights, and local resources aimed at safeguarding resident rights amid upcoming federal changes. Council President Andrew Friedson and Vice President Kate Stewart emphasized the county’s commitment to inclusivity and community support.

“We will not let changes in Washington undo our progress or limit protections for our residents,” Friedson said. “We stand unified to ensure Montgomery County remains a top place to live, work, and raise a family.”

County Executive Marc Elrich highlighted the event’s significance. “We must show our community that we are steadfast in delivering essential services despite federal shifts,” he said.

The venue at 101 Monroe St. is accessible by Metro’s Rockville Station on the Red Line. Free parking is available nearby.
