On Monday at approximately 3:31 a.m., 3rd District Officers and Fire Rescue Personnel responded to the 8000 block of Georgia Avenue for a person down according to Montgomery County Police.
Police say an adult male was located with trauma to the body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road is shut down at Sligo Ave. Drivers are advised to seek an alternative route and expect delays.
The decedent will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy will be conducted to officially determine the cause and manner of death according to police.
An investigation is “active and ongoing” per police.
