Rockville has been named GoFundMe’s 23rd most generous city in the nation for 2024.
According to GoFundMe, more than 15,000 Rockville residents donated to fundraisers this year.
The fundraisers include efforts supporting late Bullis School football coach Raymond Butler, sending Sofi Reinoso to the Olympics for Mexico, giving hurricane relief to those affected by Helene and Milton, upgrading Hank Dietle’s Tavern, and funding new ambulances for the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department after the department was scammed.
The crowdfunding platform released its 2024 Year in Help report on Tuesday. Marietta, Georgia ranks number one as GoFundMe’s most generous city.
