The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the area Tuesday from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Freezing rain is expected, according to NWS. Up to one-tenth of an inch of snow is possible.
The county’s Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security advises residents to use caution if traveling and to expect light to moderate wintry precipitation that will result in icy sidewalks and roads.
“Light freezing rain accumulations are expected with temps in the 20s, which will lead to treacherous travel conditions during the Tuesday morning commute,” according to NWS.
NWS has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 12/24/2024 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Expect light to moderate accumulations of wintry precipitation that will make sidewalks and roads icy. Use caution if traveling.
