One man has died and another man was taken into custody following a shooting in the 3900 block of Franklin Street in Kensington.
Montgomery County Police and Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) personnel responded to the scene following a report of a shooting Monday at 5:40 p.m.
When they got there, officers found an adult male with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.
According to police, this is a death investigation and is not a confirmed homicide at this time.
MCPD is on scene of a shooting in the 3900 block of Franklin Street in Kensington.
The scene is secure and one person is in custody.
There is no threat to the public at this time.
