Maryland Health Connection: Enrollment Deadline is January 15

Maryland Health Connection is the state’s official health insurance marketplace, providing a platform for residents to compare and enroll in health insurance plans, as well as determine eligibility for financial assistance or Medicaid.

Residents can apply for private health plans during the annual open enrollment period, which runs from Nov. 1 to Jan. 15.

Financial Assistance: The marketplace is the only place to access financial help to lower the cost of health insurance premiums. Many Marylanders qualify for subsidies that make coverage more affordable.

Plan Comparison: Users can compare various health plans to find one that best fits their needs and budget. It’s important to review plan details, including covered services and participating providers, to ensure the chosen plan aligns with personal health care needs.

Assistance: Free help is available for those needing assistance with the enrollment process. Navigators and insurance brokers can provide personalized support to help residents understand their options and complete their applications.
