Kensington Man Arrested in Fatal Shooting

Benjamin Jack Dresbach, 21, of Kensington was arrested and charged in connection with Monday’s fatal shooting of Trevor Dean Van Devander, 29.

Montgomery County Police officers responded to the 3900 block of Franklin Street in Kensington Monday at 5:40 p.m. following the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Van Devander of Sykesville, who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Van Devander was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death.
