The annual Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival takes place this weekend in Bethesda.
The three-day festival, which runs annually over Presidents Day weekend, is Friday through Sunday at the Bethesda Marriott located at 5151 Pooks Hill Road.
There will be five stages running simultaneously, according to the event website. Four stages require payment, but there is one free stage at Cooper’s Mill restaurant inside the hotel.
Those on the schedule include Vincent Herring, Säje, the Paul Carr Quartet with Billy Pierce, the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Orchestra featuring Carmen Bradford, and county high school jazz ensembles, among other artists.
Also, the festival offers masterclasses and live interviews with artists.
General admission tickets run from $16-72. Tickets can be purchased here.
The event is organized by The Jazz Academy of Music.
