Six people were displaced after a fire at a three-story apartment building Monday evening in Gaithersburg.
There were no injuries, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer.
Firefighters responding to the 400 block of North Frederick Avenue encountered a fire that was already extinguished on the second floor.
According to Piringer, building sprinklers were activated and helped contain a fire on a kitchen stovetop. Two apartment units were affected by the water.
