1. Community Conversation with Councilmember Balcombe: Darnestown and North Potomac residents are invited to join Councilmember Marilyn Balcombe for a casual group discussion today. Stop by anytime between 9 and 11 a.m. at Bageltowne Deli, 9749 Traville Gateway Drive, Rockville. Registration isn’t required, but attendees are encouraged to email councilmember.balcombe@montgomerycountymd.gov if planning to attend.

2. Metrorail Red Line Closures: Free shuttle buses will replace trains between Medical Center and Van Ness stations from Saturday, Feb. 22, through Sunday, Feb. 23. Trains will operate:

  • Every 8 minutes during the day
  • Every 10 minutes in the evening
    Service runs between Shady Grove and Medical Center and Van Ness and Glenmont while WMATA works on switch replacements, leak mitigation, and cross-station cable installation at Friendship Heights.
