Montgomery County’s Advisory Commission on Policing (ACP) will hold a virtual public forum on March 10 at 7 p.m.
The forum will include an overview of the Montgomery County Police Department’s (MCPD) consent search policy. Residents can ask questions and provide feedback during the event.
Council Vice President Will Jawando, Public Safety Committee Chair Sidney Katz, MCPD Chief Marc Yamada, and State’s Attorney John McCarthy have been invited to speak. The ACP does not oversee municipal police, park police, or state police.
Residents can submit written questions or comments before the forum. Organizations are encouraged to consolidate submissions when possible. Community members can register for the event online. The forum will also stream live on the Montgomery County Council’s Facebook page.
