Montgomery County leaders will hold a virtual community meeting on Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. to support federal workers and residents. The event marks the first session in the “United in Service and Support Online Informational Series,” a biweekly virtual series hosted by the Montgomery County Council. This initiative aims to provide guidance, resources, and support to community members navigating ongoing federal challenges.
The Council recognizes the many concerns affecting residents and remains steadfast in its commitment to upholding fundamental rights. United in service and support, local leaders are dedicated to safeguarding the dignity and well-being of every community member.
Each session in the series will feature expert panelists discussing special topics and offering practical resources. Participants can submit questions confidentially through a web form or during the webinar using the Q&A feature. Councilmembers and panelists will address as many inquiries as possible throughout the series.
Following Tuesday’s virtual meeting, additional online resource sessions will continue in March, covering employment, immigration, housing, health, and county services. Residents can find more information on the Council’s resource webpage.
Residents should log in at 6:50 p.m. on Feb. 25 to join the Zoom meeting. Simultaneous Spanish interpretation will be available. The webinar will also air on County Cable Montgomery and stream on the Council’s YouTube and Facebook pages.
